LOCAL Councillors voice support for Jubilee St.George Councillors have voiced their concern over the prospect of the Dragons shifting their round 24 St.George heritage match against the Wests Tigers from OKI Jubilee Stadium to the SCG.

LAST Sunday's edition of The Sunday Telegraph has reported that the round 24 St.George-Illawarra home game at OKI Jubilee Stadium against the Tigers has been moved to the SCG.

Saints vs Parramatta under lights at OKI Jubilee Stadium

NIGHT football will make its much-anticipated return to the Dragons' spiritual home following the NRL's announcement that the St.George Bank Dragons will play the Parramatta Eels at OKI Jubilee Stadium on Friday, 2 June. Kick-off has been scheduled for 7:30pm and the match will be televised on Channel Nine.

St.George Election Result

INCUMBENT St.George Directors Warren Lockwood (Chairman), Brian Johnston and Ralph Piggott have retained their positions on the St.George Leagues Club Board following this week's elections. The R2K endorsed candidates were very competitive in what has been described as the most closely fought St.George ballot in years. R2K?s James Young finished only 112 votes away from securing a position on the Board. In particular, R2K will attempt to ensure that OKI Jubilee Stadium is maintained as a multi-purpose community asset and that 50% of Dragons home games are allocated to Kogarah. MEMBERS of the St.George Leagues Club can vote from 10 am tomorrow (Monday, March 20th) in the St.George Board elections. Voting is between Monday and Thursday - 10 am to 8 pm. R2K has endorsed three candidates to fill three vacancies on the St.George Leagues Club Board of Directors.The three R2K endorsed candidates are: Troy FeliceNick StojanovskiJames YoungThe candidates espouse the following policies:* Increase of OKI Jubilee Stadium capacity to in excess of 20,000. * Immediate focus on the reopening of the auditorium and overhaul of Club entertainment.* Full interest to be charged to the Illawarra Steelers on the $8.29 million loan, thus gaining St.George Leagues Club members an additional $398,000+ worth of interest credits per annum. Kogarah Jubilee seating amendment

THE St.George Leagues Club and Kogarah Council have applied to amend a Development Application that was approved in February to install permanent tiered seating to the northern and southern ends of Oki Jubilee Stadium.The amendment includes additional seating above the proposed new toilet and kiosk at the northern end of the ground. The submission period closed on December 1 and Kogarah Council is expected to make a decision on this application in early 2006.On Monday evening, Kogarah Council is expected to approve another Development Application to demolish the eastern toilet block and to relocate the operation centre adjacent to the existing scoreboard and to construct a new kiosk and garage.SX Projects, the building company that successfully tendered for the Jubilee refurbishment contract, have published some brief information on their website in relation to the upgrade that includes 4,750 new seats. 2006 - No Kogarah until round 13

THE St.George Leader has confirmed that there will be no St.George-Illawarra home games at OKI Jubilee Stadium until round 13 due to the continued upgrading of the ground.

R2K invited to enter team into 2005 St.George Relay for Life

FOLLOWING R2K's participation and fundraising efforts in the 2004 St.George Relay for Life event, the NSW Cancer Council has invited R2K to again enter a team in the 2005 event.
