Broncos release Greinke

THE NRMA Insurance Broncos have today granted a release to former under-20s captain Brett Greinke.

Greinke has obtained an opportunity at another NRL club, with the Broncos' to continue their policy of not standing in the way of players' aspirations.

The 22-year-old has been playing Intrust Super Cup with the Norths Devils this season and played for the Queensland Residents on the weekend.

Chief executive Paul White said the club wished only the best of luck to a fine young man.

"Brett came up through our development program and captained our under-20s to a National Youth Competition grand final in 2014," said White.

"He has also worked in our school-based mentoring program with Indigenous students.

"We are very sad to see him go but wish him all the best for his future and would certainly love to see him back at the club one day."
