Women's Interstate Teams confirmed

Both QRL & NSWRL have named their sides for Saturday's Women's Interstate clash at Cbus Super Stadium.

NSW Women's Interstate Team

Nine Jillaroos have today been named in the NSW side to take on Queensland in the Women's Interstate Challenge on Saturday, 23 July.

The team will aim to put an end to Queensland's stranglehold of the Nellie Doherty Cup. Queensland had won the trophy 16 consecutive times until 2014, before retaining it with a 4-all draw last year.

The 2016 Women's Interstate Challenge will take place at 3pm Saturday at CBUS Super Stadium as part of a triple-header, also including the Holden Cup and NRL clashes between the Gold Coast Titans and Parramatta Eels.

Queensland Women's Interstate Team

The Queensland Rugby League has made one change to the Queensland Women's team to play NSW in the Interstate Challenge this Saturday (July 23).  Jillaroo Kody House will start in place of the injured Casey Karklis, while Sarah Walker has been added to the squad.

This game will be played at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast prior to the Round 20 NRL match between the Titans and Parramatta.  The Women's team have been one of the state's most successful representative sides, and are undefeated in 17 years. However, NSW are improving and last year secured a 4-4 draw.
