1.

Last week: 1st

Got out of jail with a last-minute penalty goal to down a competitive, spirited Cowboys side, but hang on to top spot by virtue of a solid winning run which sees them jump into the eight.

2.

Last week: 3rd

Climb one spot on the back of another win. Ladder leaders for a reason.

3.

Last week: 2nd

A solid victory over Wests Tigers but fall a spot on account of the Dragons rising up.

4.

Last week: 7th

Five straight and ultra-impressive, could've bottled that one yesterday against the 'Dogs but kept their composure.

5.

Last week: 6th

Did what was needed to put away the last-placed Eels - but will face a stern test when they host the Rabbitohs this week.

6.

Last week: 4th

Granted they were missing Cam Smith but an awful performance from a team that isn't looking likely to defend their title.

7.

Last week: 5th

The patchy form continues, Brisbane were simply too good for them on Friday. A tricky proposition going forward, and a nightmare to tip.

8.

Last week: 9th

Similar to the Roosters, but this week they're on the up. Nearly impossible to get a good read on Bennett's men - and now Origin looms.

9.

Last week: 8th

Reverted to old ways - struggling to score - against the much better Panthers. Will need to improve their attack to beat a determined Canterbury next Sunday.

10.

Last week: 10th

Gave their guts against the Titans and drew level a couple of times but are lacking the ability to close out the tight games.

11.

Last week: 14th

If any team from the bottom half of the ladder is to make a run, suddenly Manly are looking likely. Impressive win over an out-of-sorts Storm on Saturday.

12.

Last week: 11th

Made a good account of themselves against the ladder leaders but ultimately fell short. Big concerns for the next fortnight with second rower Joe Tapine facing suspension.

13.

Last week: 12th

They're competing hard but they seem to lack the consistency within 80 minutes to draw a result from their opposition. Need to avoid falling into old habits of one-dimensional attack and play more expansively to be any sort of threat.

14.

Last week: 16th

Finished ahead of Newcastle in an exciting high-scorer on Saturday but arguably would've been put away by a better side. A win's a win though and with a few players still to return they could throw some spanners into finals plans of a number of teams.

15.

Last week: 13th

Shattering loss to South Sydney on Saturday night. Gotta feel for Jake Granville and the whole side, with any hope of making something of the 2018 season quickly fading.

16.

Last week: 15th

Already in planning mode for 2019 you'd imagine. Beau Scott's season-ending ACL injury is just another injury on top of insult for a club struggling.
