FULL TIME. England's first half was much more impressive than their second, but they've set themselves up well enough to maintain a massive lead. Ireland will be pleased with the fact that their second half only resulted in 12 points - but they'll be disappointed with their performance.

England Lions 42-0

79

Cudjoe sprints down the left side of the field - he looks back in field for some support, but there's no one there. England grubber the ball down field, but Ireland clean it up.

England Lions 42-0

79

But no, they've thrown it away again. Ireland really have been their own worst enemy for large parts of this game.

England Lions 42-0

79

Only one minute remaining in the game - Ireland get a penalty and will have one more set in an attempt to put some points on.

England Lions 42-0

78

Cudjoe almost takes a cutout pass from his inside man - if he had caught the ball he'd have probably raced away to score.

England Lions 42-0

75

England look for another try down the right side of the field, but the last pass drifts forward.

England Lions 42-0

74

Ireland running out of time to steal this game now - they'll need a quick fire 44 points in the next 6 minutes to get the win...

England Lions 42-0

72

We're going to the Video Referee here. It's not a Ireland try, but the referee wants to check on what the restart should be.

England Lions 42-0

72

Ireland make their first line break in a long, long time.

England Lions 42-0

69

And it's led to another try for England! England show some impressive skill to put a grubber in behind the line at a sprint, and Chase wins the race to the ball and scores the try. Widdop takes over the kicking duties, and puts it over the black dot from just left of the posts.

England Lions 42-0

68

Tom Burgess making some strong runs here - Ireland finding it hard to drag him down.

England Lions 36-0

66

England almost away down the left sideline - Hall sends the ball back in field. Tom Burgess crashes forward looking for the line, but is tackled 30cm out, and loses the ball.

England Lions 36-0

65

A mistake from James Hasson - as he attempts to play the ball like it's a basketball - bouncing it under his legs. Ugly stuff. England get the scrum feed 30 metres out.

England Lions 36-0

63

Not a lot to report here at the moment - it's a lot of back and forth, both teams making decent metres off their sets. England will be looking to finish strong here, to set themselves up for the rest of the tournament.

England Lions 36-0

59

James Graham takes a hit up and gets up a bit dusty.

England Lions 36-0

57

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Kallum Watkins. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield successful.

Widdop kicks to the right of the field, and Briscoe fields the kick, before passing it back inside to Kallum Watkins, who's unmarked. Watkins takes three steps, and puts the ball down, to open the England account in the second half. Kicking doesn't get any easier for Sinfield, again from the sideline, but this time in the rain as well. He lines it up, and this time puts it over the cross bar.

England Lions 36-0

55

Ireland penalised for being offside at marker. Not surprising - the two markers were side by side at the ruck...

England Lions 30-0

55

No points yet in the second half - a combination of some better Ireland defense, and a more even possession flow.

England Lions 30-0

54

Blanch is dragged out over the sideline, and England get the scrum field. Sinfield fumbles at the back of the scrum, but the ref calls play on.

England Lions 30-0

53

Raining quite heavily now, and this breeze has turned into a stiff wind.

England Lions 30-0

51

Ireland still not really able to get out of their own half.

England Lions 30-0

49

Penalty to England - they get the ball 30 metres from the Ireland tryline. The Irish defense doing better in this half so far.

England Lions 30-0

41

Second half underway, and Ireland has already received a penalty. James Graham penalised for what looked to be giving the referee a lipful.

England Lions 30-0

40

England all over Ireland so far in this match. Ireland have had only 30% of the possession, and have been running into a massive breeze, but their defense has not been up to scratch. England have spread the ball well, and used angle running to great effect.

England Lions 30-0

39

Sinfield attempts to chip over the top, but Ireland clean it up.

England Lions 30-0

39

Ireland will get their last attacking set of the half. Only 40 seconds remaining.

England Lions 30-0

38

England's line break stat tells the story of the first half - 7 line breaks to Ireland's 0.

England Lions 30-0

37

37

O'Loughlin penalised for a shoulder charge, and Ireland get a penalty.

England Lions 30-0

36

On the last, Finn kicks across field, bringing it down about 1 metre into the field of play. Sinfield takes the ball, but is forced back into his in goal. Simpkins takes the dropout.

England Lions 30-0

35

England put a grubber in through Finn, and Roby retaliates with a kick of his own - which is more of an overzealous charge down. He attempts to pick up the ball to run away, but knocks it on.

England Lions 30-0

33

And it's another penalty to England not 3 seconds later.

England Lions 30-0

33

Bit of feeling here now - Littler's tackle is a bit high, and a bit of push and shove breaks out. England kick downfield again, and are in good attacking position.

England Lions 30-0

32

England Lions 30-0

23

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Brett Ferres. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield successful.

And it's another try! This time Brett Ferres gets the ball and scores just left of the posts. Sinfield will be happier with the easier kick presented to him. And this time he has no problem with the kick.

England Lions 30-0

23

VIDEO REFEREE - possible England Try, we're just checking the catch, and the put down.

England Lions 24-0

23

Ireland looking in all sorts at the moment. They've just got no answer for the ball movement that England is putting on. If Sinfield was more accurate with his kicking this scoreline would be getting embarrassing.

England Lions 24-0

22

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Ryan Hall. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield unsuccessful.

England put the ball through almost every set of hands on the field, before finding Hall on the left wing, who plants the ball for his third try. That try shows the benefit of supporting the man with the ball. Sinfield again attempts the conversion from the sideline, and misses again.

England Lions 24-0

18

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Tom Briscoe. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield successful.

Only two plays after the kick off and Briscoe gets his second try. England spread the ball wide through the hands, before it finds its way to Briscoe, who sprints through some messy defense to score near the posts. Sinfield, with a much easier kick, adds the extras.

England Lions 20-0

17

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Tom Briscoe. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield unsuccessful.

And it's a benefit of the doubt try. Video Referee Henry Perenara can't find a camera angle that shows both the kicker and the winger in the same shot, so he's forced to give benefit of the doubt to the attacking side. Briscoe gets his first try of the game. Sinfield again misses the conversion.

England Lions 14-0

17

England spread the ball wide, only 10 metres out from the Ireland line. Cudjoe beats one, two, three, before sending the ball right. We're going to the Video Referee for a possible England try in the right corner. We're just checking the onside.

England Lions 10-0

15

England have had almost 65% of the possession so far - a stat backed by the scoreline.

England Lions 10-0

England Lions 10-0

14

England Lions 10-0

12

TRY ENGLAND LIONS
Scored by Ryan Hall. Conversion attempt by Kevin Sinfield successful.

Ireland only 15 metres out from the England line. Looking to hit back after that early try.
