100 Games-strong for battle
hardened Tiger

Tradesman-like front-rower John Skandalis will notch up 100 First Grade appearances for the Wests Tigers when they face Penrith tonight.

A player who often goes unnoticed on the field, but not on the stats sheet, Skandalis also has the distinction of scoring the joint-venture's first ever try back in 2000 v Brisbane.

Tonight the 27-year-old will get a chance to show his wares against a younger feline creature - Panther Joel Clinton. This shapes as an absorbing contest between two of the game's form props, both pressing for selection for next Friday's City v Country representative fixture.

A lot of talk has centred around new Tiger's recruit Scott Sattler facing-off against his former club. I doubt it will cross his mind until after the game, as Sattler is one of the most professional players in the code. But having said that, I'm sure he'll relish any opportunity he gets to put on a good hit or a bit of a facial rub on his opposing pack members.
