23-man squad named for Test v New
Zealand

The Australian Rugby League selection panel today named a 23-man squad for the Anzac Day Test match against New Zealand in Brisbane on April 22. It will be cut back to 17 on Sunday following the completion of St George Illawarra's clash with Brisbane in Wollongong.

There are some very interesting selections, with form fullback Rhys Wesser missing out completely, leaving Billy Slater and Anthony Minichiello to fight it out for the custodial duties.

In the realm of halfback, Brett Kimmorley and Craig Gower have been chosen leaving Melbourne's dynamic Matt Orford out, along with Andrew Johns who looks to be completely out of the frame at the moment.

Steve Price has been included, along with Mark O'Meley and Luke Priddis looks to have secured the hooking role, with Craig Wing likely to be used from the bench. Matt Sing has also been named, despite considering retirement from rep footy earlier last week.

The full squad is:

Luke Bailey (St George Illawarra), Shaun Berrigan (Brisbane), Tonie Carroll (Brisbane), Petero Civoniceva (Brisbane), Craig Fitzgibbon (Sydney Roosters), Craig Gower (Penrith), Nathan Hindmarsh (Parramatta), Ben Kennedy (Manly), Brett Kimmorley (Cronulla), Luke Lewis (Penrith), Darren Lockyer (Brisbane), Anthony Minichiello (Sydney Roosters), Mark O'Meley (Bulldogs), Steve Price (NZ Warriors), Luke Priddis (Penrith), Luke Rooney (Penrith), Andrew Ryan (Bulldogs), Jason Ryles (St George Illawarra), Matt Sing (North Queensland), Billy Slater (Melbourne), Willie Tonga (Bulldogs), Trent Waterhouse (Penrith), Craig Wing (Sydney Roosters).
