In the Spotlight - Round 3

Well, well, well. Never let it be said that In The Spotlight doesn't fire players up.

Last week I stuck my neck out and said that the great Daly Cherry-Evans was under the pump. Not only did he get out from underneath the pump, he got up, led the Eagles to an inspiring win and punched the pump in the face. But be warned DCE, the pump will be back. The pump never sleeps.Shall I use the word pump a few more times? Pump, pump, pump.

Pump.

So, who are my round three victims? In the words of the Beastie Boys, Ch-Check It Out below.

Sean Johnson
"But the Warriors won on the weekend", I hear you yell.

Firstly, settle down, it's just the internet. Second of all, the Wazzas may have gotten the choccies against the Green Machine on Sunday night in the increasingly-chilly nation's capital, but the Rugby League world expects more from their star halfback. The bloke with the pace of the Road Runner and the fast feet of Mohammad Ali has been quieter than a puppy in a boneyard. We've seen time and time again how devastating SJ can be. Time to step up young fella.

Every video referee in the NRL
Double movement, triple movement, bowel movement. Which is which?

Some would say the decision to label certain tries as the former is a load of the latter.See what I did there?

Every week there seems to be an 'interesting' call or two from the gurus in the video ref's box. This weekend, I would just like a round of footy games where the video adjudicators just get it right. No surprises, no inexplicable green or red lights, just apply the rules and get it right.

I have a feeling this won't be the last appearance in the esteemed ITS for these blokes…

That's it for round three, see youse' round like a record.
