The Canterbury Bulldogs held off a spirited last-minute Newtown Jets comeback to record a 30-26 victory at Henson Park. Tyrone Phillips added two tries to his ever-growing tally, while the perfect goal-kicking of Chase Stanley proved the difference in the ten-try affair.

The Wyong Roos stamped their premiership credentials with a heart-stopping 22-20 last-minute victory over the competition leaders, the Penrtih Panthers, at Pepper Stadium. The VB NSW Cup's two best defenses met in an enthralling affair for one of the best matches of the season. It was a highly-entertaining top-four affair jam-packed with plenty of attacking football but it was the Roos who enjoyed the statement win.

After conceding 18 points in the opening 17 minutes, the Warriors responded with seven unanswered tries en route to a 38-22 win over Illawarra in Round 18 at Mount Smart Stadium. Two tries in the last four minutes of the first half brought the home side back into the contest before unleashing with five tries in the second spell to surge to a 38-18 lead.
