LU Team of the Week - NRL Round 3

As chosen by our Live Updaters, we reveal our best 17 of the third round of the 2016 NRL Season, together with a full list of LeagueUnlimited.com Player of the Year points.

Fullback - Cameron Munster (Storm)
Exceptional on kick returns and dangerous in attack. Scored a try and played like he was an experienced fullback in lieu of Billy Slater.

Wing - Semi Radradra (Eels) and Tom Trbojevic (Sea Eagles)
There was no player more dominant and with a greater impact than big Semi in Friday night's win by Parramatta over Canterbury. A constant threat with the ball in hand, crossing for a double and setting up the other, the Fijian flyer was kept quiet in the opening fortnight, but made his mark on Friday. Trbojevic used his speed and footwork to craft his way through the Sharks line on a number of occasions - most notably in his scoring play which saw him outpace Ben Barba over 20 metres.

Centres - Michael Jennings (Eels) and Will Chambers (Storm)
Jennings looked lethal down the edges for Parramatta in a game the blue-and-golds dominated from start to finish. Chambers wasn't anything flash but again did enough to be listed here three weeks running after a solid performance in Melbourne's win over the Warriors.

Halves - Gareth Widdop (Dragons) and Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys)
It's taken a couple of weeks but ol' JT is in the Team of the Week. Part of several key plays on Thursday night in the premiers' thrashing of the Roosters, Thurston just edged out halves partner Michael Morgan for the gig. Gareth Widdop's been a consistent performer in an under-performing Dragons outfit of late, but his calm hand helped guide the Red V to a vital win over the Rabbitohs.

Front Rowers - Ryan James (Titans) and Jesse Bromwich (Storm)
Melbourne were desperate for metres all game and particularly in the second half Bromwich delivered. Playing 70 minutes, it was a tireless performance from one of the Storm's big men. Ryan James had plenty of impact off the bench for the Titans, scoring a try and performing 15 hit-ups for a gangbusting 133 metres gained.

Hooker - Matt Parcell (Sea Eagles)
A rough cut diamond unearthed for the boys from the Northern Beaches. Parcell put his body on the line and was in and around everything through the contest. He picked up a try and racked up a mass of tackles which aided the Sea Eagles to get the field position required to take control of the contest.

Second Rowers - Sia Soliola (Raiders) and Tyrone Peachey (Panthers)
Both were key cogs in keeping their sides in the contest when a loss looked possible in tight circumstances. Peachey's ability to create second phase play ensured the Panthers were in a position to pip the Broncos at the post while Soliola's contribution and tireless work for Canberra in extra time ensured the Knights wouldn't send their fans home with more than a point for their troubles. Bagged a try of his own, too!

Lock - Jack de Belin (Dragons)
Figured out his best job was running straight and hard - and it reaped results. The Dragons made immeasurable metres on the back of his work and benefited from his hard work in defence in a gritty, wet SCG showdown.
