LU Team of the Week - NRL 2016 Round 6

As chosen by our Live Updaters, we reveal our best 17 of the sixth round of the 2016 NRL Season, together with a full list of LeagueUnlimited.com Player of the Year points.

Fullback - Lachlan Coote (Cowboys)
Cootey was instrumental in the Cowboys' late win over his former team Penrith. Laid on two try assists and bagged the decisive field goal six minutes from time.

Wing - Nathan Ross (Knights) and Sam Perrett (Bulldogs)
'Rossdog' was a pillar in defence for Newcastle in their first win of the season, and bagged a try of his own for good measure. Similarly, the underrated Perrett was a crucial cog in wide defence for Canterbury against the Storm attack, also managing to cross for a try for his side.

Centres - Steve Matai (Sea Eagles) and Kerrod Holland (Bulldogs)
Matai made his return to the tryscorers column in 2016 with a double. Ran 13 times, and made 1 line break in addition to his brace of 'meat pies'. Kerrod Holland shone for the 'Dogs in attack and defence - the only player in blue and white to record a line break. Scored the matchwinner some twenty minutes from fulltime and enjoyed a perfect night with the boot - and Canterbury fans are now asking, have they found their goalkicking solution?

Halves - Corey Norman (Eels) and Ben Hunt (Broncos)
Norman was dominant in attack, cracking the line once, setting up three tries and running for a big 124 metres at five-eighth. Hunt delivered a tremendous performance and controlled the game well with his excellent last tackle options. This was demonstrated by a beautiful grubber for both the Anthony Milford and Alex Glenn tries.

Front Rowers - Dylan Napa (Roosters) and Andrew Fifita (Sharks)
Napa didn't take a step back as he powered through the Bunnies' forwards. He showed up the Rabbitohs pack across the park and put the Roosters in the winners circle with a dominant performance including 141 running metres and 51 tackles, as well as a barnstorming try. Fifta, while error prone at times, was massive for the Sharkies in helping down the Titans. Just shy of 200 running metres, a try, 3 offloads, 7 tackle busts, 1 line break, 24 tackles!

Hooker - Michael Ennis (Sharks)
He niggled all game but nonetheless, it was a great performance from the Sharks #9! 37 tackles and 2 try assists - and Ennis was at his gritty (and sometimes grubby) best against the Titans.

Second Rowers - Beau Scott (Eels) and Bryce Cartwright (Panthers)
The Eels won this game off the back of their line speed and solid defence. Beau Scott was instrumental in forcing his side's defensive line to move up quickly, cutting down the Raiders' halves time, and forcing several errors. Cartwright came up with some great plays early on against the Cowboys, and continued to show why the praise is justified. With the ball in hand, Cartwright proved a constant menace for the reigning premiers.

Lock - Jason Taumalolo (Cowboys)
Coming up with the big runs when they needed to be made, the Cowboys lock was tremendous leading from the front. Running for over 200 metres, Taumalolo saw the game on the line and decided to win it for the visitors.
