MATCH REVIEW: McKendry found guilty

Penrith forward Sam McKendry has failed in his bid to have a Contrary Conduct charge dismissed at the NRL judiciary tonight.

McKendry will miss the Panthers' Round 8 clash against Cronulla this Sunday, having been found guilty by the three-man panel after having touched referee Jared Maxwell inside the last ten minutes of Penrith's 20-16 win over the Roosters.

The prop argued that he was "talking with his hand" when Maxwell came into his path but the three man panel quickly dismissed this, finding him guilty inside ten minutes of the hearing.

Newcastle's Pauli Pauli and Rooster forward Isaac Liu will also miss the ANZAC weekend after taking the early guilty plea on their weekend offences.
