Wyong Roos v Wentworthville Magpies

Wyong coach Rip Taylor knows how vital this weekend's clash against Wentworthville is to his side. The seventh-placed Roos face the ninth-placed Magpies in what is a clash that could decide a finals position.

"It's a massively important game for us this weekend. They're a no-frills footy side, and their completion rate the past few weeks in their winning run has been up around 80 per cent," Taylor tells NSWRL.com.au.

"We're going to need to beat them, that's for sure.

"If we can make the finals, there's a decent footy side in us and I'm sure we can do some damage. The key is that consistency."

Taylor had no hesitation in summing up his side's season so far - as a result of player turnover.

"Mixed - look at a team like Mounties (who are leading the competition) and they've been relying on a squad of about 20 players, week in and week out. We're obviously struggling with injuries, what's happening with the Roosters, and the consistency of the squad we're putting on the park has been tested."

Mounties v New Zealand Warriors

First-placed Mounties, with the best defensive record in the competition, host the Warriors in Canberra in what should be a cracker contest.

Stacey Jones' side will present a strong challenge for the home team, with the likes of Mason Lino and Jono Wright players Mounties will need to watch closely.

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles v North Sydney Bears

The "Northern Eagles" derby always holds plenty of passion.

Expect the home side, with their season on the line, to get ‘up' for this clash - with the likes of Isaac John, Pita Godinet, Luke Burgess and Feleti Mateo in their side, there's no room for excuses either.

If the Sea Eagles are any chance of featuring in the finals this season, they need to win this one. At present they are four wins outside the top eight, but they have a game in hand - they'll experience a four-day turnaround, with a Round 13 make-up game to be played on Wednesday against Newcastle at Brookvale.

The Bears, meanwhile, need to consolidate their spot in the top eight. They currently sit in eighth, but have Wenty and Canterbury snapping at their heels.

Illawarra Cutters v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

The Cutters last start got the points against Penrith at Pepper, while the Bulldogs were beaten by Mounties in a Round 13 make-up match.

Illawarra, coached by Jason Demetriou, are on track for one of their best seasons in recent memory - they currently sit in second position - while Canterbury need to make up ground fast if they're to feature in the finals.

All eyes will be on Robbie Farah in this week's most talked-about Intrust Super Premiership NSW match.

The NSW VB Blues hooker isn't playing in the NRL this week after being dropped by club coach Jason Taylor.

Farah's Tigers sit in fourth position on the ladder, while the Jets are in fifth - this is set to be a cracker, with the battle of the rakes, Farah and former Raider Matt McIlwrick, one worth watching.

Others of note in this match including Jeremy Marshall-King (younger brother of Benji), Storm-bound flyer Joshua Addo-Carr and Jets front-rower Jesse Sene-Lefao.
