Panthers v Broncos preview

The Wests Tigers have put aside off-field dramas to come away with a 25-12 win over the Dragons at ANZ Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It was the Dragons who impressed early, crossing through Kurt Mann in the fifth minute. Adam Quinlan set up the four-pointer, which Gareth Widdop converted to force a 6-0 lead early. A few minutes later an offside penalty helped Widdop extend that lead for the hosts.
An 8-0 lead was about the best it got for the Red V, whose fans remain up in arms about the current direction of the club. From there, the Dragons' fortunes went south - first when David Nofoaluma scored with ease on the right edge, and backed up when Luke Brooks went straight through the line.
James Tedesco crossed untouched at the half-hour mark and the visiting side (who, funnily enough, call the ground one of their homes as well) shot to an 18-8 lead which they took to the break.
Neither side troubled the scorers until the 58th minute in the second half when, off the back of a Mitchell Moses 40/20, Josh Aloiai crossed, having received a neat offload from Moses. Another penalty goal extended the Wests Tigers' lead to 16 points a few minutes later.
Adam Quinlan scored a consolation try for the Dragons off a Taane Milne break with 12 minutes remaining, providing a glimmer of hope - one which was shut down completely in the 77th minute when Moses added a late field-goal for a 13-point victory.
The Dragons' next assignment is tough - they're "away" to Canterbury back here at ANZ next Friday. The Wests Tigers are "away" again on Saturday at the same venue to fellow co-tenant Parramatta.
