Panthers injury update: Peta Hiku

Scans have revealed the full extent of the facial injury suffered by Panthers outside back Peta Hiku against the Dragons on Saturday.

Panthers coach Anthony Griffin told the media on Monday that Hiku will be sidelined for at least one month after sustaining a fractured eye socket.

The injury was caused by a swinging arm from Dragons prop Russell Packer in the second minute of Saturday's game. The tackle was not penalised or cited by the NRL Match Review Committee.

Despite the injury, Hiku played out the rest of the game.
