1.

Last week: 2nd
Result: def. Warriors 12-6 @ Mt Smart
This week: v Raiders @ AAMI

Ground out a tough win across the Tasman as they build back to full strength post-Origin.

2.

Last week: 1st
Result: lost to Wests Tigers 6-22 @ ANZ
This week: v Eels @ ANZ

Failed spectacularly against a much hungrier Wests Tigers side, their winning streak cut short at nine. Need G.I. back sooner than later from that thumb injury that ruled him out of Game III.

3.

Last week: 3rd
Result: def. Cowboys 24-10 @ 1300SMILES
This week: v Roosters @ Allianz

Looked much better in downing the Cowboys on Saturday. Frizell is still to return which will bolster them for a big clash with the Roosters on Sunday.

4.

Last week: 4th
Result: def. Sea Eagles 56-24 @ Brookvale
This week: v Dragons @ Allianz

Put the cleaners through an awful Manly outfit. Still struggling with a handful of injuries but appear to be hitting their straps now.

5.

Last week: 6th
Result: def. Raiders 28-24 @ SCGS
This week: v Broncos @ Suncorp

Dominated Canberra in the first half but as has been the case a lot this year, let their opposition steam home late. The winning form is what's important, but toward the pointy end their lazy finishes could cost them.

6.

Last week: 8th
Result: def. Panthers 50-18 @ Suncorp
This week: v Sharks @ Suncorp

Bounced back from that horror lost to the Warriors with an emphatic destruction of Penrith. Who knows which Broncos outfit shows up this week...

7.

Last week: 7th
Result: lost to Storm 6-12 @ Mt Smart
This week: v Titans @ Cbus Super

Gave their guts against one of the competition's best but fell short. Losing Blake Green in the lead-up didn't help, but they look to have steadied a bit after an Origin-period slump.

8.

Last week: 5th
Result: lost to Broncos 18-50 @ Suncorp
This week: v Sea Eagles @ Brookvale

Lost DWZ before kickoff but no excuses for conceding 50 on Friday - Penrith were ordinary. Has the bubble burst? Could they still miss the eight?

9.

Last week: 11th
Result: def. Rabbitohs 22-6 @ ANZ
This week: v Bulldogs @ ANZ

Taking down the top two teams in consecutive weeks is no easy task. They appear to be back in their early-season form and if they keep it up, a finals berth isn't that far-fetched.

10.

Last week: 10th
Result: def. Titans 30-24 @ McDonald Jones
This week: v Cowboys @ 1300SMILES

Won two of their five straight home games which for a team coming off a wooden spoon isn't a bad collect. Their faint finals hopes remain alive but importantly they can be proud of their improvement in 2018.

11.

Last week: 9th
Result: lost to Sharks 24-28 @ SCGS
This week: v Storm @ AAMI

Refereeing controversy aside, the Raiders' inability to close out tight games is essentially the story of their season. Left their run too late against Cronulla and their season is over if they can't upset Melbourne on Saturday.

12.

Last week: 12th
Result: lost to Knights 24-30 @ McDonald Jones
This week: v Warriors @ Cbus Super

Should've beaten Newcastle. Gave up a match-winning lead and showed why they haven't been a serious challenger this year.

13.

Last week: 15th
Result: def. Bulldogs 14-8 @ ANZ
This week: v Rabbitohs @ ANZ

Withstood an early Bulldogs onslaught and never looked challenged once they hit the lead. Won't have it anywhere near as easy when they face Souths.

14.

Last week: 14th
Result: lost to Eels 8-14 @ ANZ
This week: v Wests Tigers @ ANZ

Started well but just regressed awfully in attack. Had the defence to beat the Eels but just couldn't score points. Forgettable year for the blue-and-whites.

15.

Last week: 13th
Result: lost to Roosters 24-56 @ Brookvale
This week: v Panthers @ Brookvale

Offered almost no resistance to a red-hot Roosters side. Awful performance and the chatter around Barrett's position is amping up again.

16.

Last week: 16th
Result: lost to Dragons 10-24 @ 1300SMILES

Put up some sort of fight against the Dragons but they just aren't a good footy team anymore. Jake Clifford was solid on debut at fullback.
