1.

Last week: 2nd
Result: def. Storm 30-20 @ ANZ
This week: v Roosters @ ANZ

Looked every bit the premiership heavyweights we have come to know in a great win over Melbourne. Another huge game awaits this Friday night against the Roosters.

2.

Last week: 1st
Result: lost to Rabbitohs 20-30 @ ANZ
This week: v Sharks @ AAMI

South Sydney had them covered and some surprisingly soft middle-defence cost them. Cronulla pose a different risk this Sunday.

3.

Last week: 3rd
Result: def. Cowboys 26-20 @ Allianz
This week: v Rabbitohs @ ANZ

Did the necessary to down the 'JT-inspired' Cowboys on Saturday but will face a much sterner test of their premiership credentials on Friday night in an epic encounter with cross-city rivals South Sydney.

4.

Last week: 4th
Result: lost to Warriors 12-18 @ WIN
This week: v Eels @ ANZ

Another loss doesn't look good but the Dragons were an improved unit on Saturday in their loss to the Warriors, but lost to a hungrier team. Must-win v Eels on Saturday if they want to stay top four.

5.

Last week: 7th
Result: def. Raiders 40-31 @ Panthers
This week: v Titans @ Cbus Super

Another week where the Panthers struggled for long periods, but they did enough to stay in the game and come home strong yet again. Should be too good for the Titans on Saturday.

6.

Last week: 8th
Result: def. Dragons 18-12 @ WIN
This week: v Knights @ Mt Smart

Solid victory over St George Illawarra and a good response after being pumped by the Titans a week earlier. Will be hoping their spine stays fit after some patchy injury worries in the last few weeks.

7.

Last week: 6th
Result: lost to Sea Eagles 32-33 @ SCGS
This week: v Storm @ AAMI

Things unravelled a bit yesterday at home, but the Sharks will be aiming for a much improved performance against Melbourne on Sunday. Big missed opportunity to push for the top four and now will need to fight to host an elimination final.

8.

Last week: 5th
Result: lost to Bulldogs 22-36 @ ANZ
This week: v Cowboys @ 1300SMILES

Horrid horrid showing against Canterbury. Should be good enough to beat the Cowboys on Thursday but stranger things have happened.

9.

Last week: 10th
Result: def. Knights 25-16 @ McDonald Jones
This week: v Raiders @ GIO

Kept their faint finals hopes burning with a win over Newcastle but will be frustrated the Dragons didn't help them by downing the Warriors. Every match from here is an elimination final in effect.

10.

Last week: 12th
Result: lost to Penrith 31-40 @ Panthers
This week: v Wests Tigers @ GIO

Did enough to beat Penrith but forgot to play the last ten minutes and paid dearly. Can prevent the Tigers from making the eight on Sunday.

11.

Last week: 11th
Result: lost to Wests Tigers 16-25 @ McDonald Jones
This week: v Warriors @ Mt Smart

A really poor showing against the Wests Tigers and were made to pay in front of a healthy Friday evening home crowd.

12.

Last week: 13th
Result: def. Broncos 36-22 @ ANZ
This week: v Sea Eagles @ Lottoland

Incredibly seem to be a better footy unit since Mbye and Woods left in June. Dominated Brisbane most of the night and will be keen to surge further up the ladder and avoid the spoon with three of four games very winnable between now and September.

13.

Last week: 9th
Result: lost to Eels 12-28 @ ANZ
This week: v Panthers @ Cbus Super

Too complacent against a spirited Parramatta after their previous win over the Warriors. If results go against them and they don't win another game, they are still incredibly a chance to pick up the spoon.

14.

Last week: 15th
Result: def. Titans 28-12 @ ANZ
This week: v Dragons @ ANZ

Playing some spirited footy of late in their quest to avoid the spoon. Good win over the Titans and could claim a handy scalp this Saturday coming.

15.

Last week: 16th
Result: def. Sharks 33-32 @ SCGS
This week: v Bulldogs @ Lottoland

Fantastic win for the Manly boys after a trying month leading into the Steve Rogers Cup. Will rate their chances against Canterbury at home this Saturday.

16.

Last week: 14th
Result: lost to Roosters 20-26 @ Allianz
This week: v Broncos @ 1300SMILES

Did very well to go with premiership favourites the Roosters for much of Saturday night's contest, but slide to last on the back of wins for Manly and Parramatta here. Face a Brisbane team on Thursday looking for redemption.
