AMNRL 2003 Season Draw

THE AMNRL season kicks off this Weekend for 2003. This year will see the introduction of two new teams to the AMNRL. The Washington D.C. Slayers and Connecticut Wildcats will be playing their first games as part of the expansion of Rugby League in the United States.

BURLEIGH retained a share of fifth spot on the Queensland Cup ladder with a 26-16 win over Easts in a high quality ABC Television match at Langlands Park. The Tigers were first to score after 15 minutes when fullback Wade Liddell crossed after a Scott Thorburn bomb was not handled by the Bears. Five minutes later the scores were level at 6 all with Burleigh second row Stan Berryman crashing over after a set move.
