Amos Roberts out for the season

St George Illawarra winger Amos Roberts will most likely join team mate Trent Barrett on the sidelines after x-rays today revealed a fracture in his right shoulder.

The damage is in the same place as an injury he suffered last year.

Roberts will consult an orthopedic surgeon later this week but it is likely that he will undergo a second shoulder reconstruction and will be out for the rest of the season.

The injury which occurred in the second half of yesterday's NRL match at Kogarah and finished off a poor afternoon for the Dragons who were convincingly beaten 36-16 by the visiting North Queensland Cowboys side.

The injury to Roberts paves the way for Nathan Blacklock who came back to St George recently and scored a try in yesterday's Premier League encounter against Balmain.
