Anderson expects a lot from his
players

The Kiwis will play a one-off test against France at Stade Albert Domec Avenue du General Sarrail in Carcassonne on Friday morning (NZ time).

The New Zealand side will feature four new caps in the south of France. Bulldogs player Jamaal Lolesi will take on the fullback position, Alex Chan from the Melbourne Storm will lead the pack in prop, the lock forward spot will be filled by NZ Warriors Wairangi Koopu and Wests Tigers Dene Halatau will be in the hooking role.

Coach Daniel Anderson is very impressed with all four players but in particular feels Invercargill born Dene Halatau, who is of Niuean decent is set for a big performance. He has been an asset to the team and has been training the house down.

Thomas Leuluai will not be making an appearance against France due to a shoulder injury sustained in the loss to the Lions at Huddersfield last weekend which caused him to leave the field just after half time.

After medical assessments on Leuluai's shoulder the prognosis has improved and it looks likely that he will be fit to face Great Britain in the last round of the Gillette Tri-Nations.

Bradford Bulls captain Robbie Paul will take on the No.7 jersey in place of Leuluai and will be paired up in the halves with Henry Fa'afili.

Normally used to seeing Fa'afili on the wing he is however no stranger to the five-eighth spot where he played in the 2000 World Cup for Samoa. He also appeared in the position for the Anzacs against Cumbria when Kangaroo Scott Hill went off.

Skipper Ruben Wiki, who has been included on the interchange bench will see prop forward Paul Rauhihi taking charge when Wiki is off the field.

Brent Webb, Francis Meli, Sonny Bill Williams and David Kidwell will sit this match out along with Logan Swann and Vinnie Anderson who will rest minor injuries.

Daniel Anderson is confident of a win against the France team but as it is the last opportunity for the squad to iron out the kinks in preparation for their next encounter with Great Britain is not taking any game lightly.

"We will be prepared for the game. I expect us to win, to play well and to play committed." Anderson said.
