Anderson - Wayne Bennett is a League
Legend

New Zealand rugby league coach Daniel Anderson says he's looking forward to trading blows with newly-appointed Australian coach Wayne Bennett at international level.

The Australian Rugby League board named Bennett as the Kangaroos coach for 2004, drawing the curtain on Chris Anderson's successful five-year tenure.

Daniel Anderson, who guided the Kiwis to a win and a loss in his first year in charge of New Zealand in 2003, is licking his lips at the thought of taking on Bennett.

"I really enjoy pitting myself against the best," Anderson said.

"I enjoy coaching against what I consider to be coaching legends. Wayne Bennett is that and Chris Anderson is as well."

The Kiwi coach will get his first shot at Bennett when the Warriors meet the Broncos in their National Rugby League clash at Suncorp Stadium on March 14.

The two coaches will then meet in the first Test of the year at EnergyAustralia Stadium in Newcastle on April 23.

Australia and New Zealand will play another Test at the end of the year as part of the Tri-nations tournament also involving Great Britain.
