New South Wales Blues and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles star, Anthony Watmough has been unsuccessful with a downgrade application at the NRL Judiciary on Thursday night.
The second-rower has been ban for four games after he was charged with a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw in the 41st minute from State of Origin, Game 2 on QLD Maroons prop, Nate Myles.
The Judiciary Panel at Rugby League Central took just over an hour to hand down the decision to ban him as a result of his actions.

Watmough was originally facing a three game ban if he entered an early guilty plea but risked a downgrade in a bid to play Origin III at Suncorp Stadium on July 9th. He will now miss matches against Cronulla, the Sydney Roosters, the Bulldogs and Wests Tigers.
