Arvo wrap - Origin news

Saints skipper and NSW centre Mark Gasnier last night declared himself available for State of Origin II to be played next week in Brisbane.

NSW are 1-0 up in the series and Gasnier's possible selection may counter Darren Lockyer's expected comeback in the return encounter.

A hamstring injury at training on Thursday was thought to have ended any chance of Gasnier playing at Suncorp Stadium on June 11.

In other Origin news, Cowboys forward Carl Webb says he expects to be axed from the Queensland Origin team. Storm forward Antonio Kaufusi has been tipped to replace him.

Meanwhile, Queensland could be without Justin Hodges, the Broncos centre may be suspended for up to eight weeks after being charged by the NRL judiciary for a dangerous throw.
