Asotasi, Gasnier, Inglis & White

Bulldogs prop Roy Asotasi will today learn if he'll be passed fit to play in Friday night's preliminary final against Brisbane at Aussie Stadium.

Asotasi has made a remarkable recovery since injuring his knee against the Broncos five weeks ago, but a final call on his availability will be made by a specialist today. The Kiwi international says he is confident he'll get the all-clear after completing running drills at training yesterday without discomfort.

St George Illawarra coach Nathan Brown will today name Mark Gasnier in the Dragons side to play Melbourne on Saturday but the Test centre has until match day to prove his fitness.

Gasnier is struggling to overcome a hip related injury and is still only rated a 50-50 chance of playing in the preliminary final against the Storm at Aussie Stadium. Brown says if Gasnier can run he will play.

In the meantime premier league centre Daryl Millard will continue training with the Dragons and keep his starting centre spot if Gasnier is ruled out.

Centre Greg Inglis and prop Brett White have been named in an expanded 20-man Melbourne Storm squad for Saturday night's preliminary final against St George Illawarra.

Inglis missed the qualifying final victory over Parramatta with an Achilles tendon/ankle injury while White has recovered from a hamstring complaint. Jeremy Smith has also been named on the bench.
