It's finally here, the Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League (ASSRL) opens Rugby League Championships kick off in Townsville today.

Defending Champions Queensland are quietly confident according to coach Brendon Barlow (Redcliffe SHS)

Well between all the rain all over the country & the school holidays there as been limited footy played

In Queensland, last week we saw the QLD junior Championships, reportedly all games were of a great standard all all involved participated with raw enthusiasm, courage & in the spirit of the game.

On Monday last week, the Cronulla Sharks development squads travelled to Penrith to play some rep games.

Tonight the Sharks development squads take on the St. George Dragons Dev team at Shark Park with the U13's **TONIGHT GAMES Vs ST. GEORGE HAVE BEEN CANCELLED** kick off at 5:00 pm, then on Wednesday the Junior Sharkies take on the Balmain Tigers at Leichhardt Oval (2:00pm)

WESTERN UNION PACIFIC RUGBY LEAGUE DAY POSTPONED Due to inclement weather the Western Union Pacific Rugby League Day, scheduled to take place today at Western Weekender Stadium, has been postponed until Thursday 12 July, 2007.
