Bailey cleared of fractured
vertebrae

St George Illawarra prop Luke Bailey has been cleared of a suspected fractured vertebrae.

Team doctor Martin Raftery said a bone scan this afternoon cleared the Dragons and NSW front rower of serious damage. He will instead be treated for a severe lower back strain.

Dr Raftery said he will assess Bailey again tomorrow and he will be monitored throughout the week, but is still in doubt for Sunday's match with Penrith.
