BARLA Lions defeat Morocco in Telefon Charity Appeal

BARLA Great Britain Lions triumphed 52-4 over Morocco in the Telefon Charity Appeal Test over a gallant and robust Morocco side in front of at times a volatile 2,000 fans. Although the visitors the first British side in any sport to take part in the event which saw rugby league make its debut in the Telefon Appeal won the game, Telefon was the winner.

The Lions scored nine tries during the game but the turning point came three minutes from the break with the scores locked at 4 all when Morocco had a player dispatched to the bin. On his return his side was trailing 22-4 and the Lions were in control and never looked back despite Morocco
