Barrett to have x-rays on injured
ankle

St George Illawarra captain Trent Barrett will undergo x-rays on his injured right ankle today. The Test five-eighth limped off early in the second half of his side's 28-12 victory over Cronulla in the NRL match at Oki Jubilee Stadium yesterday.

It's the same ankle which kept Barrett out of the opening four rounds of the competition. Prop Luke Bailey also suffered a painful hit to the kidney's, which had him urinating blood after the match, and is in doubt to play next week.

And second rower Lance Thompson will find out today whether he's been charged by the NRL judiciary for using a forearm on Sharks skipper Brett Kimmorley in the 38th minute of the match at the rebuilt Kogarah Oval.
