Bartercard Cup Round 5 - Week Two
Action

Week two of split Round 5 of the Bartercard Cup kicks off this evening at Massey Park, Papakura, where the Jetz take on the Wellington franchise. The Jetz are going along very well and should move up the table tonight, with the home crowd providing plenty of motivation.

Tomorrow, Waicoa Bay take their home game against the Canterbury Bulls to Albert Park in Te Awamutu. This town is probably better known as the town the bred and raised the Finn brothers than it is for Rugby League, but it is great to see the Stallions spreading their games around their, not insignificant, geographical area. The Bulls will be too strong, but the local crowd can be guaranteed some entertaining Rugby League.

Ericsson Stadium # 2, on Sunday, hosts the match between the Eastern Tornadoes and Otahuhu Ellerslie. Both these teams are on equal points on the table and this should prove to be a very interesting encounter. A fully fit Otahuhu Ellerslie should probably deal to the Tornadoes, but their injury toll has meant them playing different players in each round to date.
