BENJI MARSHALL WINS THE GOLDEN BOOT

New Zealand captain Benji Marshall has been named as the winner of the 2010 Golden Boot, which is awarded annually to the game's greatest international player by Rugby League World magazine.

Marshall topped the poll in a vote involving three former Golden Boot winners, Wally Lewis, Hugh McGahan and Stacey Jones, plus Great Britain's joint most-capped international Garry Schofield, former England Rugby League (and rugby union) coach Phil Larder, Australian coaching guru, journalist and broadcaster Phil Gould, former France coach Louis Bonnery plus journalists and supporters from both hemispheres.
