Benji's bad breaks continue

Promising West Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall is odds on be recovered from his second shoulder injury in time for the NRL season start.

Marshall dislocated his right shoulder making a tackle in the Tigers 78-4 mauling of an Italian side at Ulladulla on Saturday night.

It was the 19-year-old's first match since reconstructive surgery on his left shoulder last year and he immediately recognised damage, walking from the field midway through the first half.

Tigers head trainer Bryan Hider said it was an unfortunate incident for Marshall who, like the rest of the Tigers, had completed a superb preseason.

"It is a shame for Benji, but that's the way the cookie crumbles," said Hider.
