Blues switch on as Gould sweats the
fun out

The New South Wales camp is happy with the progress of injured second rower Ben Kennedy as the countdown continues to this year's State of Origin series opener against Queensland.

Kennedy ran for the first time yesterday since the Blues went into camp on Monday before spending the final half hour of the demanding session laying with an ice pack on his left hamstring. Both Blues physiotherapist Liz Steet and captain Andrew Johns are confident Kennedy will be fit to tackle Queensland at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium next Wednesday night.

The Blues will continue their preparations today with an early morning session at Aussie Stadium.
