Bowman
re-signs for Cowboys

Paul Bowman has re-signed with the North Queensland Cowboys for another season ? but retired from representative rugby league. Off contract at the end of the year, the classy centre will stay on at Townsville for the 2007 NRL season but ruled out adding to his 12 Queensland Origin jerseys.

The 30-year-old Bowman made his debut for North Queensland in its inaugural year of 1995 and broke into the Maroons Origin side in 2000. He is the most capped Cowboys with 171 first-grade games and has scored 220 points including 55 tries.

Bowman has become the second Cowboy in a week to hang up his representative boots after winger Matt Sing ruled himself out of contention for Australia's May 5 Test against New Zealand at Brisbane.
