Brave Broncos beat brutal Warriors

In what started off a relatively one sided affair with the Warriors quickly running out to a 12-0 lead thanks to early tried to Simon Mannering and Sam Tomkins was shifted back into balance by a brave Broncos outfit who refused to give-up, courtesy of big Ben Hannant who smashed the Warriors line to put the Broncos on the board.

Tries by Ben Hunt and Jordan Kahu quickly followed to send the Broncos back to the sheds at half-time with a 16-12 lead.

The second half was a more even affair and it looked as if any side could win the game - they both fought bravely and with intensity. Showing glimpses of both offensive and defensive brilliance to keep in the game. The first try of the second half came from some good passing by Simon Mannering to set Ben Henry up and suddenly, Warriors evened the scoreline.

However, no sooner than a few minutes later, Corey Parker opted for a penalty goal to give his side the lead again and gain a two point buffer. This was short lasted as Ben Henry crossed for a double putting Warriors back in the lead thanks to the boot of Shaun Johnson.

It took until the 63rd minute and a great ball recovery by Dale Copley to grab the ball and spring for the try line to get the Broncos back into the game. No sooner than two minutes later, Copley again crossed the try line to put the Broncos in-front (again). A lead which they would hold on to until the full-time siren despise a constant onslaught of attack from a brutal Warriors outfit.

Next week will see the Broncos lay host to strong Storm outfit while the Warriors will take on the high-flying Sea Eagle back home in New Zealand.
