Broncos announce BBC London 94.9FM
live web coverage

London Broncos and BBC London 94.9fm are delighted to confirm rugby league fans across the world will once again be able to listen to live match commentary of every Broncos game (home and away, Super League & Challenge Cup) during the 2004 season.

London fans, as well as away fans, will be able to hear every tackle, kick and play through their very own computer. The coverage will come through the BBC London website and can be accessed directly through http://www.londonbroncos.co.uk

Additional to this will be regular previews and reaction to all matches on BBC London 94.9 FM. Every week player interviews, radio packages and reaction to games will be on the BBC London website as well as the London Broncos website.

To top things off, some games will not only be on the internet but commentary of the game will also be on the Tom Watt Sports Show on 94.9FM!

Every game will have an expert summariser, to provide insight into the Broncos performances. There will be immediate reaction to results as well as match reports that night and the following morning on BBC London 94.9 FM.

BBC London commentator, Mark Church, will also be a regular feature writer for the new-look Broncos match day magazine, Game On!

London Broncos will this Sunday meet their very first Tetley's Super League opponents when they travel to Headingley to play Leeds Rhinos.

London and Leeds have traditionally had very close contests and last year's three games were no different. The Rhinos scraped home in all three contests (two league and one cup), winning the most recent at Headingley by just five points.

London will go into the game with a new look squad, with some eleven new faces added from last season. Tony Rea has given his men two warm up games (Wigan and London Barbarians) after a very effective two-month warm weather training camp in Dubai.

Jim Dymock has once again been appointed as team captain, while club captain Mat Toshack will be sidelined for at least three months after recent knee surgery.

Dymock said: "I feel pretty good about how we've prepared. Although they weren't Super League standard (Barbarians) we did some really good things with the ball and you have to be doing something right to pile on 98 points in a game."

I like the look of a number of the new guys and I think we've got some good punch up front and and a bit of extra zip out wide. Sunday will be a very good test for us."

Kick off is at 3pm and supporters who cannot get to the game will be able to listen to all the action live through the Broncos website courtesy of live commentary from BBC 94.9fm - visit http://www.londonbroncos.co.uk
