Broncos name team to face

International centre Shaun Berrigan looks set to make his return from a shoulder injury for this Friday night?s final round clash with the Panthers at Penrith Stadium.

However, Brisbane will again be without injured stars Darren Lockyer (ribs), Tonie Carroll (shoulder), Shane Webcke (calf), Craig Frawley (hamstring) and Scott Minto (neck) for the clash with the defending premiers.

It was hoped Webcke and Carroll would be back for Friday?s blockbuster, however, with the finals series starting in just two weeks it appears coach Wayne Bennett and his medical staff are taking no risks with their champions.

Brent Tate (ankle) and Dane Carlaw (concussion) have both been named despite picking up injuries in last weekend?s draw with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

After scoring two tries to put the Broncos back in front, Carlaw was caught in a nasty high tackle by Rabbitohs prop Scott Geddes, who has been charged by the video review committee.

Geddes' will miss this week?s match after being charged with a grade two careless high tackle following his hit on Carlaw in the 57th minute of Saturday night's game.

There are also problems within the Penrith camp, with gun backrower Tony Puletua almost certain to miss Friday?s match and perhaps some finals action after he aggravated an injury in last weekend?s clash with Parramatta.

On a more positive note for John Lang?s side, hooker Luke Priddis will be available for the match with his former club after entering an early guilty plea to a careless high tackle on Eels halfback Michael Witt.

The Panthers are also sweating on the availability of Ryan Girdler (ankle), Amos Roberts (groin) and Frank Pritchard (shoulder/ankle). While a win on Friday night would see Penrith seal a top four position, a loss could see them plummet as low as sixth and sacrifice a home final.
