BRIAN NOBLE

DESPITE WIDNES? LOWLY POSITION IN THE LEAGUE, THEY WILL PROVE TOUGH OPPONENTS PARTICULARLY ON THEIR OWN GROUND.

We have talked about this all season. There are no ?gimmes? at all in this competition. Widnes have been a little inconsistent by their own high standards but when they get their players out, and they will have them this week, they have some game breakers in their squad. They play very well at home and play good football so we need to be ready for another tough encounter.

They have a great front row, with Relph, Millard and O?Neill. Millard is a very, very good player and they have Moule and Hughes, who are strong runners with Daniel Frame and Jules O?Neill pulls the strings for them. They have speed on the flanks, in fact everything you need to run a good football team and if they click then they can be tough opponents to overcome.

I am delighted to at last get into the regular pattern of week to week football, we are nearly half way through the season and we have had two in a week then a fortnight off and then three in a week and a weekend off and now we can build and assess and see where we are going and I am very pleased at where we are at the moment.

We have been training well for a couple of weeks. The boys are smiling and happy and ready for the weekend.

IT?S BACK TO FOOTBALL AGAIN AFTER LAST WEEK?S BREAK

We have a very tough game this weekend at Widnes. I know they have had a very tough start to the season but we know that as soon as the Bradford Bulls come to town they will be putting in an extra effort and trying to beat us. They have some good players, who can really play football and we know we have to respond to whatever they throw at us. This hot weather should really suit us and we should be able to throw the ball around as we like to do. We trained hard last week and we have come down from that plateau as we approach the game and we are all raring to go and waiting to let the straps loose on Sunday.
