Bulls Eye

In Bull's Eye this week, Brian Noble and Michael Withers look ahead to Friday's final Tetley's Super League round of the season at Odsal when St Helens are the visitors. BRIAN NOBLE

IT?S THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON AND IT IS CERTAINLY A DIFFICULT ONE.

It is a very difficult game for us. St Helens are a tremendous side and they have a lot to play for. Depending on how the other results go they could conceivably finish fourth and that would give them a home game in the Play Off?s, so they will come here looking for the win. They have Sean Long coming back after his suspension and that will give them a lift. He is a tremendous player and he will get them playing. He will be raring to go after his lay off and we will have to watch him closely. But they have good players right across the field. People like Hooper, who has been going well for them and Keiron is always a danger from Dummy Half. They have pace out wide, with Albert and Gardner and Wellens goes well for them. We need to play smart and muscle up against them.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE THE RIGHT MENTALITY INTO THE PLAY OFF?S

It is very important. We need to raise our game and show the character needed for Semi Final Football. I thought we did that last week at Warrington where we showed great character to go on and win the game in that situation and we will need to do that this week. Getting that second spot is very important to us and we know what we have to do to get it and that is win!! We need to be patient and not try and score off every play but we need to take our chances when they present themselves and we need to be alert and strong defensively.

MICHAEL WITHERS

THIS WEEK?S GAME GIVES YOU A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO FINISH SECOND

It does but it is going to be a tough game for us. We have home advantage though and we need to make that count. Saints can?t catch us but they can improve their position and they are going to have a good side out and Sean Long is back for them. They obviously want a win going into the Play Off?s and we need a win to get that week off. That is very important at this stage of the season because it means you are going into the Semi?s relatively fresh and that gives you a better chance. It gives you time to get over the little niggles and whilst the other sides are playing high intensity games against each other, you can sit back and relax.

I am starting to get there now after my injury. I just need a little bit more fitness but that is coming every week and the team is starting to pick up now and we are starting to go in the right direction. Obviously we can play better than we have and hopefully we can do that on Friday and take it into the Play Off?s.

The Bulls have named the same squad as was named last week for the game at Warrington. Squad:
