Bulls reach significant milestone

Bradford Bulls have become the first club to reach the 150,000 spectator mark in Tetley?s Super League VIII. The 12,116 supporters that witnessed the game against Widnes last Sunday took the aggregate crowd for the Bulls this season to 152,062 giving an average of 15,206 for the 10 league games so far this season.

Bulls Media Manager Stuart Duffy said today:

?We are delighted to once again be Britain?s? Best Supported Rugby Club?. Our supporters have totally repaid the faith shown by the Board in making the decision to return to Odsal and this season the ?Odsal Experience? has been bigger and better than ever. With the continuation of our innovative Marketing strategies we hope to pass the 200,000 mark in our remaining 4 Tetley?s Super League games this season.?

The Bulls Community Development Team has also reached a milestone with the news that over 40,000 children have had access to the Bulls through the Development Team in the first 6 months of 2003.

Bulls Community Development Manager Chris Rostron said:

?Through a variety of schemes including, Assembly Projects, Visits by the First Team to schools, the Bulls Study Centre, Book Reading sessions and Coaching in schools and local clubs, we have enabled children to come into contact with the club and see at first hand the Powergen Challenge Cup won by the club in April. The children and their parents have responded magnificently and have had a big impetus on the growing number of spectators attending Odsal on Gamedays this season.?
