Bulls tie up Hape

World Club Champions Bradford Bulls have today announced that Centre Shontayne Hape has signed a new contract with the club and will remain at Odsal until the end of the 2006 season.

Hape has made 54 appearances and scored 30 tries since joining the club at the beginning of 2003 from Auckland Warriors. There had been speculation in the Media about his contract with the club and the final terms of the agreement have now been finalised.

Bulls Coach Brian Noble is delighted with the signing:

?Shontayne has come on really well in his time at the club and I am delighted we have been able to agree a new contract with him. He has a tremendous record with the Bulls and I have no doubt at all that he will continue to improve over the length of his contract.?

Shontayne Hape is pleased to have secured his immediate future with the club:

?I am glad everything has been sorted out at the club. I did have other offers but I couldn?t conceivably see myself playing for another club. I have had a tremendous couple of years at the Bulls, winning all the trophies in my first season and I see Odsal as the place to be at to be successful over the next few years. There is a great spirit at the club and I am delighted I will be continuing here for the next two seasons at least.?
