Burleigh crush Norths in top of the
table clash

Queensland Cup front-runners Burleigh Bears have handed out a 60-10 hiding to second-placed Norths Devils at Bishop Park today.

In what was billed as a 'top of the table' clash, the Bears were too good against a deflated Norths line-up.

The reigning premiers ran in 10 tries to two with five-eighth Adam Hayden (pictured) crossing for four tries.

It was a shock loss for Norths who were coming off a round nine 52-16 victory over Easts Tigers.

Next weekend, Norths travel to Davies Park with an opportunity to redeem themselves against last-placed Souths Logan Magpies. Hot favourites Burleigh have a home match at Pizzey Park and will take on fifth-placed Easts.
