Penrith punish rusty Roosters

Winger Mark Calderwood was on Monday called into the Great Britain squad for the closing stages of the Gillette Tri-Nations Series.
The 23-year-old former Leeds flier joined up with Brian Noble?s injury-hit squad at their Manchester base and could be in line for a possible debut against Australia in Saturday?s must-win match at Hull?s KC Stadium.
Calderwood, who scored two tries in England?s recent 30-22 defeat by the Kiwis to take his tally to 37 in all games this season, was included in Noble?s initial 40-strong squad but was surprisingly left out when it was trimmed to 24.
But Britain have lost scrum-half Paul Deacon with a facial injury and have doubts over winger Brian Carney (hamstring) and full-back Paul Wellens (knee), who were hurt in Saturday?s 38-12 win over New Zealand.
?Paul Wellens took a bang on the knee and is probably 50-50,? said head coach Noble. ?We are hopeful Brian Carney will play. We?ll probably make a decision on Wednesday.?
Noble also has Hull winger Gareth Raynor available to make his Test debut on his home ground if Carney is ruled out.
Calderwood, who was on stand-by for Great Britain, was due at his new club Wigan on Monday for a media session but that was cancelled.
