Can they weather the South London Storm?

The fixtures continue to come thick and fast for South London Storm's senior sides. This week London Skolars 'A' are the visitors to Storm Park in the Rugby League Conference Premier South division, while Storm's seconds are in London League action away at Smallford Saints.

It was only a fortnight ago that a depleted Storm side came away with an outstanding 42-26 win up in North London and the Skolars will undoubtedly be seeking a bit of revenge.

Not long ago it seemed that this seasons RLCP South would be a two horse race with both Storm and Skolars heading the chasing pack. But while Storm have continued to grind out results over their nearest challengers Skolars have slipped up in the last fortnight, the home defeat to Storm was followed by a 50 point reverse away at a St Albans side fast finding their feet in the conference Premier.

Skolars know that a third straight loss on Saturday may end any chance of claiming the title this season so look out for fireworks!

South London Storm v London Skolars kicks off at 2.30pm at Streatham and Croydon RU, Brigstock Rd, Thornton Heath.

South London Storm Seconds look to build on last Saturdays 82-10 thrashing of Kent Ravens when they visit Smallford Saints this weekend.

Smallford joined the London Amateur Rugby League last year and under the guidance of Mick O'shea and with a little help from neighbouring St Albans, the Saints are improving fast.

Indeed last year Smallford claimed the scalp of South London in the regular season. Can they do it again?
