Canberra Raiders team for Round 17 line-up

Raiders centre Colin Best returns to the Raiders line-up this weekend just in time to take on his former club, when the Raiders play the Dragons at WIN Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Best comes back into the side for Brad Cross who shifts back to Premier League, while Bronx Goodwin also returns this weekend as he replaces Brett Kelly on the wing.

Raiders skipper Alan Tongue has been ruled out for between two and six weeks due to a knee injury, with the Raiders lock waiting for his injury to settle before a decision is made on whether or not he requires surgery to repair damage to his knee cartilage.

Likewise, Raiders prop forward Michael Weyman is also out this weekend with a leg injury and will await results of an MRI scan, but the good news is he has been cleared of a possible broken leg. Weyman will miss this weekend but could be back as soon as next week.

A boost for the Raiders sees Neville Costigan named in the second row pending fitness following Wednesday nights origin clash in Brisbane, and he has been named alongside Josh Miller who has traded his bench spot with fellow second row forward Nigel Plum.

Ryan Hinchcliffe is the another addition to the Raiders team for Sunday, and he comes onto the bench in jumper number 14, with Glen Turner starting at lock forward for the injured Tongue.

Back rowers Joe Picker and Ben Jones have been named on the extended raiders bench, with a final decision on the teams make-up to be made later in the week.
