Todd Carney will be playing with the Newtown Jets in their NSW Cup match against Manly-Warringah at Brookvale Oval on Saturday, 18th June, at 3.00pm.
With the Sydney Roosters having a bye in the NRL competition this weekend, this is a perfect opportunity for the high-profile player to gain more match practice following his recent lay-off from playing duties. Jets coach Greg Matterson is likely to use Carney at fullback given his limited preparation time with his new team-mates.
The Newtown Jets are the NSW Cup partnership club of the Sydney Roosters and are currently in fourth place on the NSW Cup competition table.
