When the NRL announced that their finals series would include up to 3 weeks of games being played at home venues, I was a little sceptical. Not for the reasons that many people often present: that Sydney is the spiritual and traditional home of finals football and must be kept that way.
I was more concerned about the possibility that moving most of the finals games to other parts of Australia and New Zealand may make the finals feel a little less genuine.
