Cartwright to remain a Titan until 2016

The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have taken another significant step towards securing the long-term stability of the club by today re-signing foundation Head Coach John Cartwright until the end of the 2016 season.

In an important coup for the Jetstar Titans just a month out from the start of the 2011 season, Cartwright has agreed to an extended five-year term from next season which will expire at the end of the 2016 season.

The new deal continues Cartwright's long association with the club, which began way back in April 2004 when the former Penrith Reserve Grade Coach and Sydney Roosters Assistant Coach relocated to the Gold Coast a year before the Jetstar Titans were granted entry into the NRL competition to help with the bid process.

Jetstar Titans Managing Director Michael Searle made the announcement at the Titans Centre of Excellence today, declaring Cartwright's new deal as imperative to maintaining the culture he has helped create at the club.
