Central Comets strengthen ties with
North Queensland Cowboys

Today the Central Queensland Comets revealed that the CEO of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, Denis Keeffe, has been appointed to the Comets Board.

This announcement coincides with the signing of a revamped alignment between the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and the Central Queensland Comets.

Keeffe?s position, one of four appointed delegates from the Central Division of the QRL, has been made available to strengthen the relationship between the Comets and the Toyota Cowboys. CQ Comets Chairman Robert Crow today made the announcement and is looking forward to the closer ties between the clubs.

?Today?s announcement is a major step forward and a clear signal that the Comets and the Cowboys are linked to create a football environment where the Comets can be successful both on and off the field?.

?This relationship will enable us to draw upon the Football and Marketing expertise of the NRL club in our area which has to be a good thing?. Robert Crow said.

CEO of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Denis Keeffe thanked the Central Division of the QRL for the opportunity to assist the club.

?We have been working along side the Comets for some time now and this will enable us to consolidate those links and provide some direct assistance into the future of Rugby League in Central Queensland?.

?Central Queensland is a heartland of Rugby League and important to the Telstra Premiership, Wizard Cup competitions and to the Toyota Cowboys and we need to be contributing to the region and this association will let us do just that?. Denis Keeffe said.

The signing of a new alignment between the Clubs and the addition of Denis Keeffe will provide the Comets with an opportunity to further enhance the game of rugby league in the Central Queensland region.
