Chan facing four match ban

Storm prop Alex Chan is facing a month-long suspension after he was today charged with a grade one reckless high tackle on Parramatta back-rower Nathan Hindmarsh during Melbourne?s six-point win over the Eels on Saturday night.

The Storm faces the prospect of heading into Sunday?s clash with competition heavyweights the Roosters without the services of key forwards Chan, Robbie Kearns (eye injury) and Danny Williams (pending suspension).

Having already missed a month of football this season after being found guilty of two high tackle charges, Chan will miss four weeks if he enters an early guilty plea but faces a six-match ban if he attempts to beat the charge and is subsequently found guilty.

Chan was outed for two matches after taking the Dragons? Ryan Powell high in Round 3 before being suspended for a further two weeks after a high tackle on Cowboys forward Michael Luck in Round 7.

The Storm has until tomorrow to decide whether it will contest the charge.
