Clinical Storm roll over Broncos

Melbourne have produced a typical Storm display tonight to put away Brisbane 32 points to 0 in front of 16,828 fans at AAMI Park tonight.

Coming into tonight both sides were on a run of outs and looking to reverse that. Melbourne started the night the way they intended to go on, Jesse Bromwich steaming onto a Cameron Smith pass and side stepped Norman to cross after four minutes.

If Cameron Smith was the architect for the first try, the second member of the big three - Cooper Cronk was for the second try. He laid a pinpoint kick on for Justin O'Neill to outleap Maranta to plant the ball down.

Melbourne were rolling through their game plan putting pressure on the Broncos while the away side were wasteful in their chances in the opening half with Matt Gillett spilling one right on halftime.

A tight affair but the experience combined with the class of the Storm halves was shining through. Brisbane were crossing the line with ease but couldn't plant it down for the four pointer.

Once again, Cameron Smith took it to the line, finding Ryan Hinchcliffe and sending the lock away for the third try. After a flat spot in the previous two weeks, Melbourne had found that spark for their attack.

They kicked away in the final twenty after repelling the Broncos once again. Sisa Waqa finishing off a backline movement with aplomb to make it 22-0 and goodnight Broncos.

Maurice Blair added a brace in the 72nd and 79th minute off two relatively simple efforts to blow the scoreline out towards the finish, making it a comfortable 32-0 win.
